Naples Zoo

Lions, and tigers, and gators. Oh my! It must be the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. This zoo is one of the top places to visit in all of Florida, so make plans to head over this week. You’ll get to see tons of animals at a low price. Admission for adults is $22.95 and children aged 3-12 get in for $14.95. If you have children aged 2 and under, they can get in for free.

And just what will you see when you pay the price of admission? Here are some of the highlights.

The Alligators

Some people head to the zoo just to see the alligators. That’s how impressive these massive reptiles are. While you can catch the alligators at any time, plan your visit so you can attend a feeding. The gators have names, and the zookeepers call them out while feeding them. When a name is called, the gator comes out to get the food. You’ll want to snap some pictures of this.

Monkey Islands

You’ll also want to take the short boat ride to Monkey Islands. Be prepared to wait a bit to board the boat. This is one of the most popular attractions at the zoo, so the line can last up to an hour. Don’t get discouraged, though, because when you finally make the trip, you’ll be so happy you did. You’ll travel past several islands filled with monkeys. They aren’t fenced in, so they can roam the islands. They’re usually pretty active out there, so you can see them play with their friends while you travel past. The staff member driving the boat will also provide tons of information about the monkeys.

Animal Shows

The animal shows are also worth the price of zoo admission. Many of the shows feature animals that you won’t see if you simply walk around the zoo. For instance, you can catch a show with a hedgehog or sloth. Trainers lead the shows, and they will fill you in about the different animals they work with at the zoo.

Uno the Black Panther

Uno the black panther is practically the zoo’s mascot. Uno is blind due to a gunshot he suffered when out in the wild. The zoo took him in, and he’s well taken care of now. Your heart will melt as soon as you see him. Be sure to pick up some Uno merchandise from the gift shop before you head home.

You’re in for a magical day at the zoo, but why should the fun end there? You can enjoy one fun activity after the next with the help of a new vehicle from Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Naples in Naples, Florida. Your new ride will be your ticket to countless attractions and activities in Florida and the rest of the country.
