The Blazer nameplate has been an off-and-on member of the Chevrolet lineup for over five decades, and over the years, it’s developed a solid fanbase. Fans have seen it evolve from a boxy body-on-frame SUV to a sleek crossover. For 2024, it goes through a third evolution, joining the host of Chevy vehicles dumping their gasoline engines in favor of future-forward electric motors. The all-new Blazer EV joins Chevrolet’s growing lineup of electric vehicles and hits the market with two powertrain options, one with a reported zero-60 time of only four seconds.
The Blazer EV has a two-row, five-seater cabin with a sporty interior design available in two color schemes: Adrenaline Red or Black and Medium Gray with Argan Orange accents. Both rows offer plenty of legroom, making them suitable for both children and taller adults.
The Blazer EV is available in three trim levels – 2LT, RS, and SS. The 2LT and the RS trim come standard with all-wheel drive and an as-yet-to-be-revealed dual motor powertrain. A rear-wheel drive version of the RS is also available. The range-topping SS trim has a standard all-wheel drive powertrain that cranks or 557 horsepower and 648 lb.-ft. of torque. According to the brand, the Blazer EV has an estimated range of up to 320 miles on a full charge.
The exterior design of the Blazer EV is bold and futuristic. The front fascia is dominated by a large grille flanked by narrow LED-infused headlights. An available illuminated bowtie emblem gives the Blazer EV a distinctive look at night, and the side profile is characterized by flowing muscular lines. The Blazer EV will be available in eight exterior color options, seven of which are two-tone designs. The color options include but aren’t limited to:
