For Naples residents who have an affinity for the magic and art of cinema, make plans to attend the inaugural Film Fest 239, which will take place April 24 – April 28 at the Silverspot Luxury Cinema, located at the Mercato shopping mall.
The festival – which is the brainchild of industry veterans Randi Emerman (who also founded Film Fest 919 in North Carolina), Carol Marshall, and Claudia Puig – will feature five days of noteworthy film screenings, networking opportunities, and exclusive panels with renowned and rising filmmakers.

For over a decade, the Naples International Film Festival has brought together talented filmmakers, industry professionals, and movie enthusiasts from all over the world. The four-day event will feature more than 60 screenings, with opportunities to experience new films and meet their creators. Films for this year’s event will be released in October, so be sure to save the date!
Dinner
With Artists – Tuesday, May 7
Dinner With Artists is a unique, interactive experience that blends the culinary and visual arts. Spend the evening with talented local artists and chefs as they present original works of art and a gourmet, multi-course meal in an intimate setting. Food will be prepared by Kailin Stefan, a CCPS Culinary Arts scholarship recipient, and her mentor, Greg Shapiro, Executive Chef & Owner of Tastebuds Custom Catering. The artists for the evening will be Laura Albertorio, CCPS Visual Arts scholarship recipient, with mentor Juan Diaz. Tickets can be purchased online.
Exhibitions At The Naples Art Association – Various dates
All throughout the year, the Naples Art Association features exhibitions from local, national, and international artists. Right now through May 16, you can catch the Widening Horizons exhibit, which features original work from Southwest Florida. Each piece depicts the beautiful parks and exquisite nature preserves found in Collier County.

Productions At The Naples Players
Now in its 65th Anniversary Season, The Naples Players is Collier County’s internationally recognized community theater. There are two productions left in this season: Always A Bridesmaid, which ends April 20, and Lost In Yonkers, which runs May 1-26.
