The Chevrolet Malibu first premiered in 1964 as a small family sedan. The Malibu would last for more than 30 years before it was discontinued in 1983, only to return in 1997. Throughout the years, the Malibu has been a stalwart atop the sedan family, earning numerous accolades thanks to its performance and value.
Since its update in 2019, the Malibu has introduced small quality-of-life updates including updated features, appearance packages, and new safety features. For 2022, Chevrolet continued with the subtle changes, including the removal of the L trim, and the addition of new colors. The removal of the L trim leaves the Malibu with just four trim choices: LS, RS, LT, and Premier.
On the inside, the Malibu comes with a standard touchscreen, a USB port, multiple audio speakers, along with available features such as wireless charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a digital driver display, among others. Performance wise, the Malibu still houses two engines: a turbo 1.5-liter and a turbo 2.0-liter.
