Chevrolet Malibu: A Brief History
Named after the beautiful coastal community of Malibu, California, the Chevy Malibu has a long and unique history. For starters, in 1984 after the fourth generation Malibu ended, production stopped. It wasn’t until 1997 when the Malibu was brought back. Coming back with a bang, the Malibu was named the Motor Trend Car of the Year for 1997. In 2013, the Malibu was redesigned and received several enhancements such as a new front-end appearance. The ninth generation debuted in 2016 and continues to offer updated and incredible features.
